UF1 has adopted the ROAR motor rules for its racing program. In UF1, all participants must use ROAR legal and approved 25.5T brushless motor.

Tuning Rotors
Tuning rotors are legal in UF1 racing for the F1 class, but the rotors must be ROAR legal Stock/Spec tuning rotors approved for the motor for which it was designed. The rotor can’t exceed the maximum length, diameter and magnet thickness designated for Stock/Spec racing under ROAR rules. Tuning rotors may not exceed 12.5mm in diameter. The length of the magnet may not exceed 25mm. Some or most motor manufactures offer tuning rotors that have shorter magnets than 25mm and have smaller diameter magnets closer to 12.3mm. These types of smaller rotors are legal. They are often used to de-tune the motor for certain conditions and grip levels. Most motors come with the maximum diameter rotor and length magnet already.
Internal Resistance:
Internal resistance for 25.5T motors is 101 milliohms.
We will allow a tolerance of 10 milliohms [91 milliohms]
Motors must be inspected before each race day.
If a power unit is changed during the race day, the motor must be resubmitted to tech for approval.
UF1 has adopted the ROAR ESC rules for its racing program. In UF1, all participants must use ROAR legal and approved brushless ESCs
The Formula 1 class does not allow timing adjustment within the ESC (aka boost). ESCs in this class require a non-timing, or "Blinky" mode, built in and must be run with that setting in both qualifying and main events.

To adjust for new breed of LiHV LiPo batteries, Voltage in the F1 class has been raised to a peak of 8.7v. Spot checks will be done if there is any indication that someone is blasting their batteries.
Charging bags are recommended but not mandatory.
Formula One RC racing features multiple tire suppliers however, to keep racing close, UF1 will be utilizing a control rubber tire manufacturer. Exotek F1 rubber tires have been selected as the control tire for UF1.
Drivers checking into technical inspection and NOT using Exotek tires will be disqualified from that specific round. [a score of 0 points].

The UF1 Series allows any Lexan Formula 1 body to be used for racing as long as it is mass-produced and readily available to buy at any retailer. The body must be completely intact as it was intended by the manufacturer and cannot be ‘extra’ trimmed along the bottom or cut in a way to be lowered on the chassis. The air intakes may be cut out (in the airbox and side pods) but not bigger than the original scribe marks on the body. All panels must be painted which includes side pods (if added separately). Barge boards and air-boxes must also be attached and painted.
A driver’s helmet is required and can be either hard plastic or lexan. Either way, it must be painted to resemble a real Formula 1 helmet.
Hard plastic parts like mirrors, side pylons. nose-mounted cameras or Halos are encouraged but not mandatory.
Front Wing
Any mass-produced front wing may be used. It must be the original hard plastic front Tamiya-type wing; no polycarbonate/Lexan wings allowed.
Rear Wing
Any Tamiya-style, hard plastic rear wing may be used. The entire wing must remain stock - no carbon or Lexan side dams added or replaced. The wing cannot be trimmed or modified away from it's original shape. The rear wing cannot be higher than the top of the air box.
Rear Diffuser
Diffusers are allowed but cannot be higher than the rear axle or protrude past the side dams of the rear wings’ trailing edge.
